Textbox watermark not visible in Internet Explorer

I use the watermark property in some textbox controls but in IE 11 (11.608.15063.0) on Windows 10 the watermark text is not visible when the control has the focus. I’ve not tested with other Internet Explorer versions.
The WiseJ version used is 1.4.41.0

That’s correct. But in Firefox the watermark text is also displayed when the control has focus…
I set focus to the first textbox so the user does not know what to enter if he does not see watermark text …

    Works like that in Chrome and Edge too. IE10 and 11 handle the placeholder differently. The workarounds are all bad since they use the value instead of the placeholder. We use the native placeholder attribute.

It’s visible when the input doesn’t have the focus. It’s the way IE shows the placeholder. I just tried with IE11 11.674.15063.0 but it was also visible (without the focus) in previous versions. I can see it with emulation IE10 as well.
