Server service suggestion.

i recently commented “can you serve WiseJ publications, or if not, suggest who is already set up to serve my project without too much extra configuration and errors?” on a closed question and didn’t get an answer so i’m questioning here.

Wisej is awesome product for building my saas but not if i can’t publish… which has become an issue. winhost seems like an inexpensive and friendly server but to date can’t get enough support both here and there to make it work.

is Wisej or IceTeaGroup able to host my solution? can you recommend services which are wisej-friendly?

Any standard ASP.NET hosting service works. We don’t host and it doesn’t need any extra support other than basic ASP.NET skills.

how can i tell if i’m working with/publishing a .net core, or .net Framework  application? my host says that i’m using .net core which i guess is the wrong one for publishing.

Hi Stephen, you can choose to only use one target framework for your deployment. To avoid any issues with your host you can just stick to .NET Framework 4.8 and publish it. Wisej.NET supports both, as in .NET Framework and .NET Core (ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core respectively). Usually, if your deployed application has an .exe file, or doesn’t have a bin folder that means that it’s being deployed as a .NET Core application.

I’m guessing then that my “deployment application has an .exe file, or doesn’t have a bin folder that means that it’s being deployed as a .NET Core application.”… how do i correct this?
