Hi guys,
I have a production server (A) which has no internet access. I deployed the application on IIS and ran it there (localhost) without a key in Web.config. It did not complain.
Then I tried to access the application from a computer on the LAN and got the attached popup about Licensing.
So, I “purchased” a Community Server license (0.00 USD) and copied the key in the web.config of server A. However, this did not change much, since the server has no access to the internet and the license could not be activated.
So, I copied the key to an application running on another server (B) with internet access, removed the wisej-server.lic file which was there from another license activation, statrted the application and had a new wisej-server.lic generated.
Then copied this wisej-server.lic from server B to the server A. But I still keep seeing the license popups.
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to de-activate the license from B? How do I do that? In my Wisej account page, when I click on Manage Activations it takes me to editing my profile.
Or is it something different?
Best regards,
Alex
Hi Frank,
Thanks for your reply. No, I copied it in the folder where the exe is, namely in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\myapplication, i.e. the same place it was created in the activation server. Actually, I was following the documentation, as in the attached picture.
Now I put it where you said and it works!
Thank you.
Alex
Hi Alex,
where did you copy the lic file to?
Preferrably it should go into C:\ProgramData\IceTeaGroup\Wisej
If it still fails, please send the lic file to support AT wisej.com and we´ll take a closer look.
Best regards
Frank
