DevExtreme datagrid 'frozen'

Hi, I am currently evaluation wisej and have been trying to incorporate the devextreme controls in particular the dxDatagrid. I’ve followed a couple of examples and previous support questions, and can get the grid to display and populate with data, however the grid is totally frozen. I can’t scroll or select cells, rows etc. it shows no interaction at all. I cant find any mention of this behaviour elsewhere. Im I missing the obvious? I have a trial license for both WiseJ and devextreme. will this be having an impact?

Thank you for contacting support and sorry for the late reply!

The DevExtreme Premium library is based off of the Web Version of DevExpress, it’s quite limited in functionality in comparison to the WinForms control.

In order to use each individual control, you’ll have to also look at their documentation and check the Options property for any needed changes.

Furthermore, there are some limited functionalities based off of the license type, for a trial license, you can use all of the premium extensions, but you’re going to see the watermarks as you have noticed!

    Hi Alaa, Many thanks for your reply. I have no problem with functionality of the web version of the control compared to the winform version. I’ve run through the demos on the Devexpress website and understand the differences. Also I understand that the premium extensions will have the watermark and I would expect this while running the trial license, I just want to be sure that in every other way the extensions should be fully functional with a trial license. I have also tried the syncfusion JS2 grid and get a similar issue. If I run the Browser extension premium example project in Visual Studio the grid is fully functional , but If I run it from a new project I created myself if is limited, it will populate with data but items cant be selected or the grid scrolled. We feel WiseJ could be a good solution to bringing our development to the web, but just want to have confidence the premium extensions we would want to use will be functional if we purchase a full license. Hi, I’ve spent more time attempting to get the devExtreme controls working. I have downloaded the demo browser source code and get the same behaviors’. Some controls allow different amounts of interaction, but the dxDataGrid control is very limited. for example I can resize column but cells cant be selected or the data page selectors used.

I am using trial version of both Wisej and DevExtreme and get the ‘PREMIUM’ label at the top of the control and ‘Premium Extensions require a valid license’ at the top of page. The demo for other controls appear to be working, Just trying to verify if this is an issue with the dexExtreme controls or they are limited because of a license issue.

The demo work fine on the Wisej website only see the problem when running from the source code.
