Asp.net webforms developer trying to get started with simple gridview example.

I am evaluating Wisej  as an alternative for asp.net webforms.  Typically, I can find examples of how to wire up a basic gridview to a sqlserver database to quickly see how it works with tools like devExpress , etc.  I have been struggling to find this example within the Wisej ecosystem so I was hoping that someone can point me in the right direction. I have downloaded the examples from github (wisej-examples-vb-3.0) but I have not been successful in getting anything to build and run within vs 2022.

Any help would be appreciated.
