[SOLVED] DropDownList UserComboBox text greyed out even when control is enabled

Hi there

I have built a custom control using the UserComboBox and have noticed that when its DropDown type is DropDownList(ie the user can only select values in the list) the text within the control (Not the drop down itself) is always greyed out, even though the control is not disabled. This will cause confusion to the user, as greyed out text on controls normally indicates that the field is disabled.

Is there any way to change this?

I tried playing around with the theme builder which allows you to set properties based on control state(eg enabled or default / disabled etc) but everything I have tried does not work. The UserComboBox seems to inherit theme settings from the ComboBox but changing the opacity for diabled state to 1.0 only works for the ComboBox and not the UserComboBox as well.

Please see screenshots attached in first answer to this post. I tried to attach screenshots when creating the post, but I got a Forbidden error even though I was attaching small png/gif files

Hi Frank

Thanks for the update.

My name is Ken. I logged the support request but our company account was created for Meagon, our admin resource, hence the name change.

I have changed our account profile to show my name so their is no confusion around identity 🙂
