Thanks, will do that. Obviously it will only show the message again (if not working) after end Jan. Will comment below once completed later this evening.

Process Followed: 1. Stop IIS Site on Server 2. Remove wisej-server.lic from website root on Server 3. Remove wisej-server.lic from /Program Data/Ice Tea Group/WiseJ on Server 4. Use Auto Update tool on Dev machine to update to 1.50.0 (Release) 5. Start VS2013 projects (all 17) 6. Open a form in each project to force the little WiseJ icon and click on it to ensure it is now 1.50 version 7. Publish all 17 Projects 8. Restart the IIS site 9. Recycle all Application Pools (just to be sure) 10. Open and test all projects starting 11. Check that the 2 files in 1 & 2 above are recreated with todays date Now we wait till end Jan, or if you can reset the expiry back to end December so we can check sooner?

As an aside, all of that done via tablet, teamviewing into the 2 machines, while sitting in the passenger seat of car… Technology!?! :D

Great, Kevin :-) I have changed expiry date to 31st December 2017. Can you please check again. Thanks ! Best regards, Frank

Sorry, got hectic with other projects, so only getting back to this now… Nope, license error is back http://apps.klevaworx.com/ktrax

On the Dev machine I now cannot edit or create new forms, just get the expired message and asking for new license.

Frank – I have done a more detailed examination of the WiseJ.Core.dll and I think this is related to my Licence being a BETA developer originally. Please refer to WiseJ.Core.License.LicenseManager.CheckLicense(string key, LicenseAttribute licenseType), there is a line (144 in my view) that checks licenseInfo.IsBeta

If you are using the dev license ending with *89278 it’s not a beta license. It’s a regular full license purchased using the beta discount offer. The problem is that we had a bug in the license manager that couldn’t recover from lic file marked as expired for purposes of renewals. It’s fixed but the test to make your license expire to see if it works cannot possible work now since the version of wisej you are using requires the license with a newer date. I have extended your license to end of Q1 2018 March 31, 2018. You can use all new releases up to that date. The license is of course perpetual for anything released until the expiration. Sorry about the troubles.

Thanks Luca – Will see what happens after then. I will also advise the new client, since I am moving that site to their servers and they will need to purchase a seperate license.

Hi Luca & Thomas Just to update – I wont be able to test this after March anymore as all the licenses were recently renewed. My suggestion is to mark this as closed, as the versioning should take care of this issue for others.
