Hi!

wisej 2.2.48 Coockies don’t work with Chrome and Edge!!! (chromium?)

Firefox, Safari works

Test in Windows and Mac

Hi Crisitan,

The issue is related to SameSite support.

SameSite is a relatively new change in browsers: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Set-Cookie/SameSite

Wisej incorrectly sets the default to None which requires the cookie to also have the Secure attribute.

Currently we’re working on a fix for it and It will be included in the next build.

All my customers that use chrome or edge have this problem with my wisej portal 2.2.48.

For example with wisej 2.2.47 I have not this problem, then it is a Wisej issue only with 2.2.48

Wisej 2.2.48 read old cookies saved with previous version of Wisej but don’t save correctly, at chorme/edge close it loose the cookie.

I miss the important detail: close the browse and reopen it

Chrome and Edge lose the cookies.

    Hi Cristian, Just tried the sample and the cookies are still there even after I close the browser, can you verify if you have the cookies cleared when you close the browser? You can do so by going directly to edge://settings/clearBrowsingDataOnClose (Edge) and also check the Privacy settings of your browsers, like Frank said, it could be that the browser is blocking the cookies or clearing them when you close it.

Hi Cristian,

in addition to Alaa´s answer, please also check your Chrome and Edge cookie setting.
Maybe they have changed to block cookies?

I’ve just tested with Edge on Windows and Mac, Cookies work fine as expected.
