Download file names are too long

Hi there,

Wisej generates very long file names for downloads. We have embedded a Wisej web page into our ERP (via an URL field). We cannot influence how our ERP handles downloads, so it always displays the file name in a download dialog (please see attachment). The dialog box does not even fit on one screen. Is there a way to shorten the file name?

Hi Gerhard,

When you use Application.Download, Wisej generate a temporary link for your download. Isn’t your filename. Check the attachment.

If you want to shortless link you can use this trip:

  •  Create folder on your like “files”
  •  Place yours files into this folder eg. my_file.txt
  • Finally your link will be stite_url.com/files/my_file.txt
