Starting May 1st, 2024, we are introducing a number of changes to the Wisej.NET license model and feature matrix. This includes a free entry-level server edition, changes to existing Wisej.NET Server editions, a revised Wisej.NET Hybrid Starter program, and price adjustments across all license types.
We are happy to announce the availability of Wisej.NET Server Express edition. This entry-level server has been designed to accommodate the needs of smaller work groups and standard usage scenarios that do not require extended features such as load balancing or enhanced security features.
Wisej.NET Server Express runs on a single core and is typically used for up to 100 concurrent users (depending on application specifics). The new edition is provided for free in commercial and non-commercial use, but limited to a single use per customer.
As part of the new Express edition, we are discontinuing Wisej.NET Server Community Edition. All customers are invited to upgrade to Express. Wisej.NET Developer licenses will be bundled to include a complimentary Wisej.NET Server Express edition that may be used for production, testing or development purposes.
In order to simplify the Wisej.NET licensing model and accommodate the needs of our valued customers, we’ve decided to streamline license naming and to switch to a Core-based scaling model. The existing concept of “Concurrent Clients” and “Applications” is discontinued.
It will be easier to choose the right Wisej.NET server edition for typical on-premise and cloud-based deployment scenarios.

With the release of Wisej.NET 3.5, our new Hybrid product offering has become available, to bring Wisej.NET based solutions as native apps to all major operating systems such as Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
Wisej.NET Hybrid allows you to develop cross-platform apps, leveraging your code and development skills! This includes the integration of local hardware interfaces and you can design applications with our WYSIWYG graphical designer in Visual Studio. The Wisej.NET Hybrid Starter edition is free of charge and includes 100 active app deployments.

The existing license model for Wisej.NET Developer will remain unchanged in terms of naming/features. There is a free Community edition with limits on commercial use, as well as Wisej.NET Developer Professional and Wisej.NET Developer Enterprise edition.
The cost for Wisej.NET Developer and Wisej.NET Server are adjusted by around 20%. These changes reflect Ice Tea Group’s commitment to enhancing the Wisej.NET framework with innovation and new features. We are focused on boosting productivity for developers working with Wisej.NET.
In the past 12 months, we’ve released Wisej.NET 3.5 and Wisej.NET Hybrid for cross-platform app deployments, along with a number of new product features and security enhancements. We continue investing in quality assurance and customer support.
