BASTA, originally a .NET event, debuted in 1986. Since then, broader topics have been introduced, mainly around web development and artificial intelligence. This year’s conference drew in hundreds – with many more online – for a few days of talks, workshops, and fun.
Our team is spread all across the globe, so it isn’t always easy to get together! BASTA presented a valuable opportunity to bridge this gap. We flew in team members from all over, and the reunions were a highlight.
Our modernization partner, fecher, presented one of our favorite sessions. Robin Peters‘ session, “The Migration of WPF Applications to the Web,” resonated with attendees seeking to streamline their legacy systems and complemented our very own Thomas Althammer’s sessions.
Thomas’ session, “Turn Old into New: Transform Windows Applications into Web-Based Solutions with Wisej.NET,” showcased the power of Wisej.NET and caused significant curiosity among attendees interested in modernizing their legacy systems. His keynote, “From Hype to Utility: How Does AI Work in Business Applications?” delivered a practical talk for developers, encouraging them to explore AI’s real-world applications to enhance business workflows.
We were thrilled to have a booth where attendees could meet our team and learn about Wisej.NET. The energy was genuinely fantastic, and we want to thank everyone who stopped by.
The conference wasn’t just about technical deep dives. It was an opportunity for team bonding. After the conference days, we explored Mainz, enjoyed the region’s renowned beers, and indulged in the local cuisine – what a way to unwind.
BASTA was a great experience on all fronts. We had a chance to forge connections, showcase our hard work, and bond. We extend our sincerest gratitude to the BASTA team and look forward to the next one!
