Red Triangles - cannot enter license key

We are moving forward w/ a major new project using Wisej and have just bought our third license.  We went to activate the license on a machine that had a previous trial which is expired – but all we get is red triangles.  Nothing is popping up to allow us to enter the license key we purchased.  Projects will build and run and show Wisej UI when running in the browser – but we cannot use the designer at all. Everything is red triangles.

We have uninstalled, reinstalled as admin, etc.

What can we do to get this to work?

Try a couple things…  make sure your user profile is a local admin on the machine.  Also – try running Visual Studio as Administrator…

If I recall this may have helped us in the past.

The red alert in the designer is not related to the license. It’s the html renderer that times out. We have seen this happening when there are permissions problems but were never able to reproduce in any way. Can you try on a different machine? Make sure IE11 is installed, maybe check IE11 permissions. If you still have problems contact us at support at wisej.com directly.

Good morning,

we have the same issue on our development server. License activated correctly, we see “Valid” on license window. I try to delete the folder  C:\ProgramData\IceTeaGroup\Wisej with the wisej-developer.lic and I redid the activation, but nothing change. We have red alert triangles on our VS project (we use VS 2017 Community). What can we do now?
Thank you.

Thanks Frank – yes we were in the wrong directory. I’ll email you the previous license file.  Once we removed it – it did ask us for the license key, and we entered the new one we just bought.  License activated correctly.

But still we have the problem w/ red triangles, which I guess is not dependent on the license.  Our other development machines do not have this issue.

What can we do to correct this?

Hi Matthew,

this is ProgramFiles. Can you please check in ProgramData ?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards
Frank

Thanks for the quick response Luca.

No .lic file present – and we are showing for hidden files too.

Try to delete:

C:\ProgramData\IceTeaGroup\Wisej

It should have wisej-developer.lic

When the designer comes up it should ask for the key.

The read triangles mean that the html renderer is not responding in time. An expired key should automatically popup the registration dialog. We’ll have to reproduce and fix. Can you please send the current wisej-developer.lic on that machine before replacing it? Send it to support[at]iceteagroup.com.

Best,

Luca
