More capable strip-chart

Hi there,

Wisej offers Chartjs and smoothie-chart which have their place, but unless I’m missing something – neither are particularly suited for zooming / scrolling live data.

Chartjs is more for static data, and I’ve found it quite difficult to get to work at all with a date/time Xaxis, and smoothie chart seems to be quite basic in functionality.

What I’d love is a strip-chart in Wisej like this from IOCOMP:

Any plans for such a chart?

Thank you

Regards,

Darren

Forgot the suggestion: I like highcharts, it seems very powerful. We don’t have any plans to build a component around it though. It can be used directly as is.

Chartjs and smoothie are not our chart components and are not part of Wisej. They are open source javascript libraries developed and maintained by the respective owners. The chart that you linked doesn’t appear to be a web component, so it cannot work in a browser.

Hi Luca, Sorry, yes I know they are not a native Wisej component and yes I also know the IOCOMP chart is not a web component, I was just suggesting that a web component equivalent would be awesome. Wow, highcharts looks fantastic, but I’m still very new to wisej & web dev. in general, so I’m not sure where to start adding a javascript component to wisej. Can you provide some general rules/help in this regard? I do have “some” javascript experience. Cheers
