Installing on multiple versions of Visual Studio

Hi, All,

I’m just starting out with WiseJ, apart from a couple of trial activities and now beginning to convert a project from Winforms to WiseJ.

I have several versions of VS installed – VS2015, 2017 and 2019 recently. I usually use VS2017, and this is what I did the initial trials with.

Then I installed VS 2019.

I can open and run the HelloWorld application in VS2017, but I can no longer create a new WiseJ Project in VS2017.

I can create a new project in VS2019.

Is this a limitation in the same way that it was for VWG?

(I have, and still do, use VWG for since its early days)

Thanks,

Geoff Sorensen

Hi Geoff,

this can probably be fixed by reinstalling Wisej and checking all 3 Visual Studio versions (2015,2017 and 2019).

If this does not help, I can send you a link to the project templates and how to reenable them for 2017.

Best regards
Frank
